The Parkinson’s Disease & Movement Disorder Society (PDMDS)
The Parkinson’s Disease & Movement Disorder Society (PDMDS) is the leading voice for Parkinson’s in India. Through their activities, they strive to raise awareness about Parkinson’s and dispel the associated myths, provide affordable and accessible information and therapy to all stakeholders and promote the rights of People with Parkinson’s (PwPs) in India.
Impact Guru Foundation
Impact Guru Foundation (IGF) was established in 2014 with the mission of promoting accessible and affordable healthcare for all. They provide a platform through which each individual can easily avail of preventive, curative and critical care – irrespective of their financial background. Their key focus areas are Primary healthcare services & awareness, critical healthcare program, preventive healthcare program and humanitarian emergencies.
Jogeshwari Education Trust
Jogeshwari Education Trust was established in 1993 with the following objectives:
1. Education: To promote Educational awareness and brotherhood amongst the people by imparting the value-added education amongst the students. The trust is imparting education to nearly 3800 students at highly subsidised rates even without the government aid or assistance.
2. Medical facilities: To provide medical assistance in the form of running the ambulances and day care centres at the cheapest rates. To establish and manage multi-speciality hospitals with all the facilities namely, surgical, medical, maternity and neonatal etc, including out-patients and in-patients departments. At least 1,200 patients are treated in OPD and day Care also. To manage and run the dialysis centre and provide this facility at most subsidised rates.
3. Other charitable activities: To provide free food grains and essential daily needs and medicines to the poor people and people affected with pandemic, and other natural calamities.
Rubbabai Ameeji Foundation
Rubabbai Ameeji Foundation was incorporated in 2016 and the main objects and activities of the Trust are as follows:
1. Education: To provide financial aid for educational expenses of the needy. To conduct educational excursion for benefit of students and organizing elocution competition, debates, and essay writing to encourage and train them for public speaking and writing.
2. Relief to the poor: To assist the poor or low-income group individuals or families to improve their way of living. To give aid to the poor by way of self-employment, to distribute articles, tool appliances etc. to the needy persons to give them self-confidence irrespective of caste, creeds or community. To distribute Free Food, blankets, rags, woollen clothing and other varieties to the poor and needy.
3. Medical: To provide financial aid for medical treatment and emergency situations for the needy. To organise Medical Camps in India to help the poor and the needy people.
4. Environment: To provide to our young ones with unpolluted environment and to erase our carbon foot print. To initiate plantation of trees in various parts of the town and villages. To organise sapling plantation for the farmers and development of saplings which can be replanted in farm like mango, chickoo, coconut and such fruit saplings.
The Muslim Ambulance Society
The Muslim Ambulance Society was started in 1932 as an organization to offer round the clock 24 hours Ambulance and Hearse Vans to carry patients from homes to hospitals and vice-versa and dead bodies to graveyard respectively. Since 1970, the society has undertaken to serve the people of the metropolis in the medical field without distinction of caste, creed and religion. They provide life-saving medicines to the poor patients suffering from such diseases as Cancer, Chronic Renal Failure, Post Transplant patients, Cardiac diseases and severe sepsis, etc. They also give financial assistance to deserving patients who undergo major surgeries and / or are undertaking treatment at different hospitals in the city. Recently they have also been helping deserving and curable Cancer patients under treatment at Tata Memorial Hospital.
Global Care Foundation
Global Care Foundation, is an NGO registered under the Bombay Public Trust Act 1950. Their focus areas are releasing Non-Habitual Under-Trials by providing Legal and Financial Aid, and after their release assisting them with counselling, rehabilitation and skill development, Conducting Legal / Social Awareness Programs for the public at large, providing free legal guidance to people in need of assistance through Legal Aid Clinics, and organizing Para-Legal Training Programs. They have a team of committed professionals including Advocates, Doctors, Counsellors, Psychiatrists, etc. who work wholeheartedly towards furthering our cause.
